Privacy Policy

For: Otter Dive · Effective and last updated: August 21, 2026

1. Controller and scope

This policy applies to Otter Dive, an iOS game published by PureCodeBase and operated by Nico Würthenberger, Bissingerstraße 8, 75172 Pforzheim, Germany. Contact: purecodebase@gmail.com.

2. Local game data

Otter Dive is designed for offline play and does not require an account. The app stores game data locally on your device, which may include run progress, Coins, upgrades, depth records, collection discoveries, recovery counts, achievements, cosmetic settings, accessibility preferences, and other data needed to continue the game.

This game data is not sent to a PureCodeBase server. Otter Dive does not provide an account system, cloud save, or first-party online profile. Deleting the app or clearing its local data may permanently remove locally stored progress.

3. Accounts, advertising, analytics, and permissions

4. Apple purchases and Restore Purchases

Otter Dive is free to start. The optional FullAccess upgrade is one permanent, non-consumable Apple in-app purchase. It unlocks the later upgrade levels and the complete depth range. Apple processes payment information and App Store transactions under Apple's own terms and privacy policy.

Otter Dive receives only the purchase or entitlement status needed to unlock FullAccess and support Restore Purchases. PureCodeBase does not receive or store your payment-card details. Purchase verification and restoring an entitlement may require a network connection.

For Apple's privacy information, see Apple Privacy.

5. Support messages

If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include, such as your device model, iOS version, app version, screen, or screenshots. We use that information only to respond to your request, investigate the reported issue, and meet legal obligations. We do not use support messages for advertising or profiling.

6. Retention and sharing

Local game data remains on your device until you delete it or remove the app. Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to handle the request and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or share it with advertising or analytics providers. Apple may process purchase data as the platform provider.

7. Children

Otter Dive is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the game does not require an account and does not include advertising or analytics, it does not intentionally request personal information from players.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information. Contact purecodebase@gmail.com for privacy requests. You may also contact the relevant supervisory authority.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the app, legal requirements, or data practices change. The effective date above will be updated with material revisions.
