Privacy Choices
Current status: The free version for iOS and Android uses Google Mobile Ads and UMP consent for interstitial ads between rooms and optional rewarded videos that open a room's hints. The app has no first-party analytics. UMP choices, App Tracking Transparency (ATT) on iOS, and the advertising ID settings on Android affect advertising and tracking. Premium removes ads entirely.
1. Local game data
Solved rooms, hint allowance, opened hints, the ad timing counter, the cached Premium status, and settings such as Reduced Motion are stored locally on the device. They are not uploaded to PureCodeBase. Reset Progress in Settings or deleting the app removes them.
2. Tracking and advertising
- UMP updates consent information before the app requests interstitial or rewarded ads. If UMP does not allow ad requests, the app does not load or show those ads, and the game continues without them.
- Depending on region and consent, Google may serve personalized, non-personalized, or limited ads. Ads are requested with a general-audience (G) content rating.
- The app can request ATT through Google's consent flow. Denying ATT keeps the advertising identifier (IDFA) unavailable; it does not automatically disable every ad request allowed by UMP. You can change ATT later in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- On Android, you can reset or delete the advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device's settings (for example Settings > Google > Ads or Settings > Privacy > Ads, depending on the device).
- Settings shows a Privacy Choices entry when the consent provider requires it, for example in the EEA and the UK. The entry opens Google's privacy options form, where you can change or withdraw consent.
3. Premium and purchases
Premium is an optional one-time non-consumable purchase processed by Apple through the App Store on iOS and by Google through Google Play on Android. It removes interstitial and rewarded ads and opens every room's hints. With Premium active, the app does not start the advertising or consent SDKs. Apple or Google controls payment and purchase processing; Restore Purchases in Settings uses the store's transaction records, and the result is cached locally so the game works without an account. On iOS, Premium is available through Family Sharing.
