Privacy Policy
1. Controller and scope
This policy applies only to Echo Between Times, a puzzle game for iPhone, iPad, and Android phones and tablets, published by PureCodeBase and operated by Nico Würthenberger, Bissingerstraße 8, 75172 Pforzheim, Germany.
Contact: purecodebase@gmail.com. Provider details are available in the Impressum.
2. Local game data
Echo Between Times stores the information needed to continue the game in a local progress file in the app's container. This includes solved rooms, the daily hint allowance and its date, which room hints are open, a counter for the timing of interstitial ads, the locally cached Premium status, and settings such as Reduced Motion.
This game data is not uploaded to a PureCodeBase server. The game has no account system, login, cloud save, or developer-operated online profile. Deleting the app, or using Reset Progress in Settings, may permanently remove local progress.
3. Services and permissions
- Rooms and local progress work without a network connection or an account. Consent, advertising, and purchase or restore flows may require network access.
- The app includes the Google Mobile Ads SDK and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) for interstitial ads between rooms, optional rewarded videos that open a room's hints, consent, and privacy choices. Ads are requested with a general-audience (G) content rating. The app does not use first-party analytics or crash reporting.
- UMP determines whether ads may be requested. Depending on region and the user's choices, Google may serve personalized, non-personalized, or limited ads.
- On iOS, the app can request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission through Google's consent flow. The advertising identifier (IDFA) is only available to the advertising SDK if you allow tracking. If you deny it, the app does not receive tracking authorization.
- On Android, the advertising SDK can read the Android advertising ID. You can reset or delete it, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device's settings (for example Settings > Google > Ads or Settings > Privacy > Ads, depending on the device).
- Premium is a one-time non-consumable in-app purchase processed by Apple through the App Store on iOS and by Google through Google Play on Android. The app uses Unity In-App Purchasing on the device to communicate with Apple's StoreKit or the Google Play Billing Library. Apple and Google process payment and transaction data under their own terms and privacy policies; the app does not receive payment-card details. We do not use Unity accounts, Unity Analytics, or Unity's direct web store.
- The game does not request contacts, location, camera, microphone, photo library, or notification access. On Android, the app and its Google libraries declare internet and network-state access, vibration for optional haptics, Google Play billing, and advertising-related permissions (advertising ID and Android ad services) used by the ads SDK.
4. Advertising and third-party processing
When advertising is available, Google Mobile Ads and UMP may process information needed to provide and measure ads, such as device or advertising identifiers, an approximate location derived from the IP address, ad interactions, performance and diagnostic data, consent state, and related technical information. Google's processing is governed by Google's terms and privacy documentation. Consent choices and regional rules affect which processing and ad types are available. Premium users are not shown ads, and the app does not start the advertising SDK for them.
Echo Between Times does not upload local game progress or settings to PureCodeBase. In-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google, depending on the platform. Support messages are handled as described below.
5. Support messages
If you email support or a privacy request, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include, such as your device model, operating system version (iOS, iPadOS, or Android), app version, a description, or screenshots. We use that information to answer the request, investigate the reported issue, and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not use support messages for advertising or profiling.
6. Retention and sharing
Local game data remains on your device until you reset it, delete the app, or the platform removes it. Google and Apple retain and process information according to their own policies and applicable settings. Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to handle the request and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or share local game progress with third parties.
7. Children
Echo Between Times is a general-audience puzzle game without violence, chat, or user-generated content. It is not specifically directed to children and is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the free version includes third-party advertising, parents and guardians should review the available UMP choices, ATT on iOS or advertising ID settings on Android, and platform settings, or use Premium, before allowing use.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of personal information, and to withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis. Contact purecodebase@gmail.com for a request. You may also contact the relevant supervisory authority.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app, its data practices, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated with material revisions.
