Privacy Policy
1. Controller and scope
This policy applies to The Last Ember, an iOS game published by PureCodeBase and operated by Nico Würthenberger, Bissingerstraße 8, 75172 Pforzheim, Germany. Contact: purecodebase@gmail.com.
2. What the game stores locally
The game is designed offline-first and does not require an account. Active runs, deterministic seeds, decisions, local progression, settings, journal entries, run history, and meta-progress are stored on your device so the game can resume after an app restart.
The app does not send game saves, story choices, or journal content to a PureCodeBase server. Deleting the app or clearing its local data can permanently remove this information.
3. Accounts, analytics, advertising, and permissions
- The Last Ember does not require an account, login, contacts, location, camera, microphone, or notification permission.
- The default build contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or third-party analytics SDK.
- The game does not request App Tracking Transparency permission and does not use cross-app tracking.
4. Apple purchases and restore
The free prologue may be followed by an optional one-time full-game unlock. Apple processes payment information and App Store transactions under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. The game receives only the transaction or entitlement status needed to unlock the purchased content and to support Restore Purchases; PureCodeBase does not receive or store your payment-card details.
Purchase checks may require a network connection. After a verified entitlement has been cached, the unlocked game is designed to continue offline.
For Apple's privacy information, see Apple Privacy.
5. Support messages
If you email support, we receive the email address and the information you choose to include, such as your device model, iOS version, app version, seed, or screenshots. We use that information only to respond to the request, investigate the reported issue, and meet legal obligations. We do not use support messages for advertising or profiling.
6. Retention and sharing
Local game data remains on your device until you delete it or remove the app. Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to handle the request and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or share it with advertising or analytics providers. Apple may process purchase data as the platform provider.
7. Children
The Last Ember is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the game does not require an account and does not include advertising or analytics, it does not intentionally request personal information from players.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information. Contact purecodebase@gmail.com for privacy requests. You may also contact the relevant supervisory authority.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app, legal requirements, or data practices change. The effective date above will be updated with material revisions.
